This just came in from my brother.
This is a great example of short-term solution thinking. "How do we keep the fat annual passholes, who come here year after year, off the boats? Hmm... What if we lure them away with CUPCAKES?"
I have another solution. If you just fill the channel with melted chocolate, all the fat people will lean over to drink it, fall in, and then you can simply suck them up gigantic tubes that go to the fudge-making room.
13. It’s a fat world, after all. Disneyland announces plans to close the “It’s a Small World” attraction to deepen its water channel after the ride’s boats start getting stuck under loads of heavy passengers. Employees ask larger passengers to disembark—and compensate them with coupons for free food.

Annie Leibowitz dressed Beyonce as Alice, Lyle Lovett as the March Hare and Oliver Platt as the Mad Hatter and took their picture riding the teacups.

Platt looks a bit more like a plump Willy Wonka (or maybe a still-living version of this hitchhiking ghost from the Haunted Mansion), but you have to admit Lovett does have a very leporine mouth.
